Fetherling’s career has been a series of “Firsts” in various industry segments. He built one of the first public health portals at HCA, created the first home health use rates, directed the first live surgery and first live birth on the Internet, first K-12 Health Curriculum online. Most recently, we founded and launched the first cloud-based care management system.

Fetherling served as President/CEO of the Nashville Technology Council. He led the
Technology Council through a growth phase that includes a re-branding of the 10-year-old organization and increased membership by 29% and revenue by 89%. The organization served more than 400 companies connecting 23,000 tech workers in Middle Tennessee. In addition, he helped launch the Nashville Entrepreneur Center in partnership with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Fetherling was recognized as a member of the Nashville Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Nashville Technology Hall of Fame in 2013. He was Trevor A. Fisk 1999 Young Marketer of the Year, a prestigious honor that recognizes the contributions of outstanding healthcare marketing professionals. In 2006, Mr. Fetherling was recognized as the Time Person of the Year. In 2016, he was named Most Admired CEO and a Healthcare Hero (Entrepreneur Category) by the Nashville Business Journal.
Mr. Fetherling is the author of “Surveying Your Community” and “Columbia Internet Case Study,” published in the Journal of Healthcare Marketing, and contributed to 1997 Guide to Healthcare and the Internet and the book Net Income. He has been a featured speaker at Arkansas, Kentucky, and Ohio Hospital Associations, ACHE Congress (2017), HFMA Spring Institute (X2), Health Datapalooza 2012, SHSMD 2007, 2012, 2017; Nebraska Hospital Association 2008; Push ‘97 in London; Wired World ’98 in Gauteng, South Africa; the University of Utah’s Interactive Marketing Course; Belmont’s HIT Accelerator Course (Strategy and Health Language), Guest Instructor at Various Vanderbilt Graduate Classes, Alliance for Healthcare Strategy and Marketing; NCTA Cable ‘98 and Knowledge Management ’97.
