Becky Blalock , Managing Partner

Author of the bestselling book DARE: Straight Talk on Confidence, Courage, and Career and a trailblazer to the C-suite, Becky Blalock is a sought after speaker, IT thought leader and champion of skill and relationship building to achieve success in the workplace. Blalock is the Managing Partner at Advisory Capital, a consulting firm providing strategic insight for companies involved in the energy, information technology, and medical industries. During her 33-year career with Southern Company, Blalock held a variety of leadership positions before becoming SVP & CIO.Blalock serves on several public boards including Hannon Armstrong and Aspen Aerogels and as an advisor in several private equity ventures. She is also active on the Board of Counselors for The Carter Center and is a trustee of the Woodruff Arts Foundation.

Barry Vandevier, Asurion

Prior to retiring from Asurion in September of 2022, Barry Vandevier was Asurion’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) for six years, where he provided global leadership for the company’s core operations, including Product Management, Technology, Customer Solutions, and Supply Chain Management. In his role, Barry was responsible for high-quality and efficient end-to-end business processes spanning product design and development, technical architecture and operations, supply chain planning and logistics, and multi-channel customer care and operations. Before his COO role, Barry joined Asurion in 2012 as Chief Information Officer. Barry began his career as an industrial engineer in the travel and transportation industry where he was focused on business process optimization and staffing algorithms for most aspects of airport operations. As he took on senior technology leadership roles as CTO at Travelocity and later as CIO at Sabre, he gained experience in both start-up and global corporate environments across traditional, SaaS, and cloud-based product development teams. He also oversaw architecture, technical infrastructure and operations, multi-faceted transformation efforts, and technology company acquisitions. Barry earned a bachelor of science in industrial engineering from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
